The post which had a collage image of Nigeria’s president, Tinubu and his Burkina Faso’s counterpart, Ibrahim Traoré, is captioned “Burkina Faso has the BEST air defense SYSTEM in Africa at the moment. If you don’t believe, send your mercenaries by Air and let’s see what happens. Try ME BOYS 📌”.
When this report was published, the post had 59,000 views and about 3,800 replies, repost, quotes, likes and bookmarks. In the comment section, @felixodeli wrote “Best Air Defence System for a country without an active fighter jet? It’s obvious you just want to get B/Faso into trouble. Of what use is an ADS without fighter jets? For a country whose defence spending is estimated to reach $2.5bn (in 2025) how much is a single S-300 or S-400? You just want to get this country into trouble. Very big trouble lol.”
