On March 17, 2026, an X user @BLA_Network made a claim that a court has overturned the life sentence handed to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and has ordered Justice James Omotosho, the trial judge, to pay compensation.
