VERIFICATION

Netanyahu delivered a December 24, 2025 Christmas message where he condemned attacks on Christians in Nigeria and said the violence must stop. He specifically called for Muslim militia attacks harming Christians in Nigeria to end and for persecutors to stop.

During this speech, Netanyahu also highlighted that Israel is the only country in the Middle East where Christians can freely practice their faith and celebrate religious traditions without fear. However, reports on his Christmas message made no mention of Netanyahu announcing any Israeli military intervention in Nigeria or said that Israel would send forces to eliminate terrorist groups.

While the United States did carry out military action in Nigeria around the same time, its Trump led presidency has said that its airstrikes were conducted in cooperation with the Nigerian government and with Nigerian intelligence support.

CONCLUSION

The claim that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has joined Donald Trump to launch or plan Israeli military action in Nigeria to eliminate terrorists is FALSE. Netanyahu publicly condemned attacks on Christians in Nigeria in his Christmas day message but did not announce any Israeli military intervention, operations, or deployment in Nigeria.
