When this report was published the claim had about 108,000 views and over 900 replies, reposts, quotes, likes, and bookmarks.
VERIFICATION
An AI analysis of the images was carried out using Hive Moderation, and the results revealed that the images were AI-generated.
A further search using Google Lens reverse image search revealed that the same claim had appeared on Facebook. In January 2026, President Tinubu took a state visit to Turkey to strengthen bilateral ties in trade, defence, and investment. The visit drew significant attention when President Tinubu stumbled and fell during a state reception parade while walking alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. This moment went viral and was followed by days of silence from the Presidency.
The President was not accompanied by his wife nor was she listed as part of his entourage for the trip. Also, there is no credible report placing his wife in Turkey or any mention of her accompanying the president on the Turkey trip compared to the state visit to the United Kingdom in March.
